Eddie Zaratsian, mastermind behind Eddie Zaratsian Lifestyle and Design, chats with The Sketchbook Series ahead of our first workshop of the year at The Huntley Hotel in Los Angeles, CA. While Eddie will be taking a deeper dive into his business, as well as the in’s and out’s of the industry during the workshop, we’re excited to share some of his background and foundation to his story.
How long have you been in your business?
I’ve been in the floral design industry for over twenty years now.
What is your job title and tell us about your role:
I am the lead event and floral designer at Eddie Zaratsian Lifestyle and Design.
What are some of your design philosophies?
"I design to feed all five senses - to create a feast for the soul."
How do you stay relevant in the design world?
I believe in being a leader, not a trendsetter. Trends change, but true art will never change.
What are some pieces of advice on being successful in this career?
Stay determined and always pursue what you love.
What's your 'unique' process developing projects from vision to execution?
Think about the cohesive story and the different components that are necessary to deliver and execute it.

What are some company goals for 2017? How would the company like to impact the
community in the next 5-10 years?
Youtube channel success is our goal for this year. As a company, we would like to continue bringing innovative floral design to the world.
